Description

A new wheelhouse was added in 1964 by Ferguson Industries (Pictou, Nova Scotia), designed by Public Works Canada. The design proved problematic for visibility and the wheelhouse wings would often catch on ships when pushing at the bow or stern. After being sold to Nadro Marine Services in 2000, the wheelhouse was narrowed and the wings were removed during a 2002 refit. And elevated pilothouse was added in 2008.
